
How can I become a member?
To become a member, contact the membership office at the section you want to join. The section will send you your membership card(s), receipt and information within 10-14 days. Becoming a member
How much is the membership fee?
The membership fee varies depending on the section. The fee is between CHF 80.- and CHF 140.-/ year. For families, the fee is between CHF 110.- and CHF 255.-. See the box on the right hand side "Membership fees".
Can I become a member if I don't live in Switzerland?
Yes. You can also receive all SAC information abroad (including "Die Alpen"/"Les Alpes").
How and when can I cancel my membership?
You must give notice in writing to the section. Notice must be sumitted before the end of the year.
How much does it cost to stay in a hut?
The prices for each hut are different. Members pay a maximum of 26 CHF per night though, non-members 28 - 40 CHF (half-board is double). Children and young people pay reduced rates.
Can I pay with EUROs in the hut?
Yes. Euros are accepted in SAC huts.
Are dogs allowed in the huts?
The section which owns the hut decides whether pets are allowed. Ask the hut manager for details when making your booking. Usually dogs are not allowed in the dormitories or bedrooms.
