Piz Cam is a wide grassy ridge which ascends slightly from N to S. An imposing wall, divided into two parts, drops down to the south, dominating Vicosoprano. To the west a grassy slope, interspersed with schrofen and rocks, rises from Val da Cam; to the east the ridge descends to Val Furceala in large steps. As the summit is located off the main mountain range, the view opens towards the lakes of the Upper Engadine. Relatively easily accessible, Piz Cam is a rewarding target, despite its low altitude.
