Dammastock 3630 m Route archive

The Wintergeberge chain, which dominates the entire Göschener Tal (valley) is home to the Dammastock, the highest peak of Central Switzerland. This mountain range is popularly called the Dammakette. To the east, the walls steeply descend to the heavily crumbled Dammagletscher, to the west the Rhone glacier forms a long, flat, silver bath of a border. The whole area is 'high alpine' and offers some interesting (in recent years somewhat forgotten) and varied climbs.
