Alvier, the best-known summit in the mountain range between Seeztal, Rheintal and Churfirsten, is a lot less visited in winter than in summer. All ascents are steep at the very end and require safe conditions. The summit offers a magnificent view and there are a number of different descents, some of them rather challenging. The hut on the summit is closed in winter.
