Route description
All’Acqua – Capanna Piansecco CAS
From All’Acqua (1614 m) head N up through the valley of the Ri dell’Acqua; first on the left (W) side of the stream, then, at approx. 1800 m, crossing to the right (E) side. Continue to climb the increasingly steep slopes to reach the hut at 1980 m. If the snow is hard-packed and makes the ascent difficult, it may be advisable to take the beautiful, wide hiking trail that leads up through the forest east of the Ri dell’Acqua instead. The path (usually groomed by snowshoe hikers) leads comfortably up to the hut in just a few large hairpin bends.

This hut, not far above All’Acqua, is an excellent starting point for ski tours in this area. The new, well tracked approach makes it a popular destination for day trips with snowshoes. The hut is always open; serviced on Christmas, Carnival, Easter and spring weekends!
