Climbing Garden Läntahütte SAC 2090 m Please select a discipline

The Läntahütte was built as a base from which to explore the Läntatal mountains. The Rheinwaldhorn with the Läntagletscher still fascinates today, but the main visitors to the hut are now mountain hikers. This small hut is also well suited for 'kids camps'. Various climbing options have been established in the immediate vicinity of the hut. There is bouldering, a Tyrolienne traverse over the Valser Rhine and a spectacular free-hanging abseil to 'learn the ropes' on. The avalanche barrier wall of the hut, has been developed as a unique (if slightly odd) climbing wall. The proximity of hut delicacies is very pleasant, but remember you are still in alpine terrain with all the usual dangers. In the upper sectors a helmet should definitely be worn: both chamois and birds like to throw stones. The paths for each sector are well marked from the hut.
