Route description
Tiefenbach - Albert-Heim-Hütte
Follow the Albert-Heim-Hütte path.
Albert-Heim-Hütte - end of the water pipe.
Follow the water pipe.
To the Dammazwillinge
Turn left (W), climbing 100 m altitude and passing N of P. 2765 m, before steering round onto the flat Tiefengletscher.
Variant, early season
Ascend the glacier direct, as per the normal ski route (steeper).

Approach from the parking at Tätsch (2270 m) is around 2h30.
From Tiefenbach its an extra 30 mins.
- Difficulty

The Tiefengletscher is gently sloping, but it gets steeper up at the foot of the wall. Ice axe or crampons recommended.
At the start of the season you can also go straight up the foot of the glacier as per the normal ski route (also steeper).
