Route description
Alptrider Sattel (cable car station) - Ausser Fiderjoch - Start
From the mountain station of the Samnauner Doppelstock cable car (2492 m) follow a marked path along to the Flimsattel (Ausser Viderjoch, 2729 m). Turn right (west of the ridge) at the top station of the Idjochbahn (2750 m) towards the Greitspitz lift (sign for the Via Ferrata). Follow a wide gravel track gently downhill, then cross an old moraine ridge. Coloured markings lead upwards - and underneath the rocky outcrops of the Greitspitz to the start (ca. 2720 m).
