From Oberalppass head north through the military barracks on the mountain path marked "Fellilücke". At 2250 m turn left (west) over the Hinterfellibach (stream) and continue along the mountain path towards Löcher and P. 2274.
The path begins to drop slightly after P. 2274. You can maintain height here by cutting right from the main path and making straight for the zig-zag path of Vorder Feli.
Follow the zig-zag path up to P. 2410 to meet a larger path.
Follow the flat footpath west above the Lutersee. After the second stream would be a right turn for klettergarten Lutersee.
Continue to the western end of the lake.
From the western end of the lake climb diagonally over screes to the lowest reaching rocks. Here at 2511 m, is the start to the Gross Schijen South Ridge.
