Hinter Jamspitz is easily accessible from Chamonna Tuoi and Jamtalhütte. Due to the exciting descents it is often visited by ski tourists.
Route description
Chamonna Tuoi CAS – Jamjoch – Hinter Jamspitz
From Chamonna Tuoi (2250 m) ascend north-eastward to reach the flat area of Plan Furcletta, overcoming an escarpment. Follow a little valley passing P. 2659 to the north. Now ascend initially eastward until ca. 2800 m, then northward to reach the col between Hinter Jamspitz and Piz Urezzas giving access to Jamtalferner. Bypass Hinter Jamspitz on the north-east to reach Jamjoch (3064 m). From here ascend the steep north-facing slope to the summit.
