Route description
Weissmieshütte - base of the Jegihorn
From the Weissmieshütte follow the almost flat hiking path in a northerly direction and cross the Triftbach (stream). After the stream continue along the flat, lower path into the valley which separates the mighty lateral moraine of the Fletschhorngletscher from the Jegihorn. At P. 2730 the trail steepens and turns west, climbing directly up towards the Jegihorn. Follow the main path till level with the cliff base, then cross right to the start of the route "Alpendurst" (about 30 minutes).
Variant: from Kreuzboden cable car station.
From the Kreuzboden cable car station follow the path signposted "Jegihorn". This leads up into valley, separating the mighty lateral moraine of the Fletschhorn glacier from the Jegihorns. At P. 2730 you meet the route from the Weissmieshütte.
