Easy tour for the deep winter above Mayens de Conthey. A long tour from Daillon; it is most often undertaken from Coppet (1270 m) on the road to Sanetschpass.
Route description
Daillon - Tripon - My - La Fava S summit
From Daillon (ca. 935 m) follow the ploughed road to Sanetsch for 45 min. to reach Tripon (ca. 1020 m), where a small road branches off to the left. Follow it southward for a moment, then northward to P. 1074. From here continue on the road, which leads up to the chalet on the edge of the forest. Cross the ditch to the right and go along the forest edge to the chalets of Mayens de My (P. 1336). This point can also be reached from Coppet on the road to Sanetschpass. Now ascend on the wide slopes of Mayens interspersed with chalets until the hairpin bend at P. 1688. Keep to the right (N) and ascend through the sparse Forêt du Plapon as far as the pastures of Pointet. Now ascend north-westward in the undulating terrain to the SE ridge. Follow the ridge to the summit, the last stretch possibly on foot.
