The SE face of Palanche de la Cretta with its pastures is ideal for skiing. The regular, gentle steep slopes make for an attractive target and a perfect early season tour.
Route description
Bus stop «La Coutaz» - Palantse de la Cretta
From the bus stop of «La Coutaz» (ca. 1800 m) on the road from Les Haudères to Arolla, follow a small road at first, then a wide ridge north-north-westward to Lû Mayein dè La Coûtha (1961 m). Between two creeks, then on the left bank of the creek La Bornette ascend to Remointse de la Cretta (2396 m). From here ascend on regular, gentle slopes more or less directly on the SE face of Palantse to the easily accessible summit.
