Pleasurable, short ski tour through a beautiful pine tree forest on the western side of Ofenpass. If you choose the right ascent route, the avalanche risk is minimal.
Route description
Buffalora – Munt Buffalora
From Gasthaus Buffalora (1967 m) ascend to Alp Buffalora (2032 m) and continue on the alp access road to reach the wide ridge of Buffalora. Now turn westward, pass above the chalet at P. 2195 and continue until, now ascending on steeper slopes, you reach the terrace Minieras da Fiern from the north. Ascend to the ridge of Munt Buffalora by passing P. 2458 on the south. Follow the ridge to the north summit (2627 m).
