This is an easy, but long ski tour (1500 metres of vertical height) to a rocky pyramid, which offers an impressive view to Piz Tumpiv and Bifertenstock. The descent is particularly beautiful in spring snow.
Route description
Breil/Brigels – Piz Dadens
From the Sogn Giacun chapel at Breil/Brigels (1298 m) follow the street for 150 m and then take the alp access road until the bend at P. 1411. Continue on the road westward to P. 1471. Now ascend south of the Uaul da Platta Liunga to the alp Tschegn Dadens Sud (1724 m) and continue in an arc to the west to the chalet at Tschegn Dadens Sura (1979 m). Now ascend to the cabin at P. 2053 and continue to reach P. 2191 at the beginning of Val Miez. Ascend this wide bowl north-westward, then northward to reach the summit. Normally the highest point is not climbed in winter (treacherous and exposed).
Descent
On the ascent, if there is sufficient snow, the descent can be continued from P. 1471 to the bridge at P. 1078 in Val Cuschina via Cuolms da Runs.
