This is a ski tour on the north-facing slopes of Val Nandro. Therefore, there is not much sunshine, which promises good snow conditions. The wide slopes offer much space for variants. The starting point of Radons is best accessible via the Savognin ski area. It can also be reached from Parsonz or Tigignas by hiking a good hour on the sledging run. Reaching Radons by ascending the ski runs of Savognin is not recommended.
Route description
Savognin - Radons - Piz Mez
From Savognin ride a first chair-lift, a gondola and another chair lift up to Piz Martegnas (2655 m) and ski down to Radons (1866 m). Or take the first chair-lift to Tigignas and ride the ski shuttle to Radons. On the alp access road you reach the bridge at P. 1852 across the Ava da Nandro. Go across the bridge and continue southward to cross the Ava da Curtegns at the foot of the north-east slope of Piz Mez. North of two distinct gullies ascend to P. 2106. Turn south-westward to reach a shoulder at the beginning of the north-east ridge. Ascending this ridge or on the E face, you reach the summit.
