Riffelhorn 2930 m Route archive

From the Riffelberg, Rotenboden or Gornergrat the north side of the Riffelhorn does not particularly stand out, so great is the view of the four-thousanders beyond. In contrast, the 400 m high south side of the Riffelhorn impresses with its large couloir. Of course, the view from the summit is very inspiring, but the true charm of the Riffelhorn lies in the excellent quality of its rocks. A hard, solid serpentinite leads to this summit, and invites you to climb it. The numerous routes offer everything, from entertaining to difficult, all in relation to a magnificent mountain panorama. In the descriptions we include the modern routes at Gagenhaupt (2568 m). This forms the NW 'outpost' of the Riffelhorn.
