This is a small, delightful ski tour for days with fresh snow in the secluded valley of the Hilfere. The summit slope with 400 metres of vertical height offers enough space for a number of turns on the descent.
Route description
Marbach – Rotefluespitz
From the Wiggen, Schächli (ca. 815 m) bus stop go south-eastward across the Grossfeld plain to the crossroad (848 m). Follow the ploughed, but unfortunately also gravelled alp access road in the narrow Hilfere valley past the Alpenrösli restaurant. Shortly before Vorderdorbach ascend northward in the pastures of Unterkrümpelhütten and Oberkrümpelhütten to reach the saddle between P. 1441 and Rotefluespitz. The only difficulty to overcome are fences that have not been taken down for the winter. On the summer trail traverse the west-facing slope to P. 1504, from where you reach the summit from the north-west.
