A beautiful hike through sparse woodland.
From Göschenen, the hut path leads through cool forest to an enchanting forest clearing at the Regliberg. Here you have a view of the Urseren Valley and the chain of winter mountains at the back of the Göscheneralp. Now comes the final, very much photogenic ascent over the Trögenstäfeli to the Salbithütte.
Route description
Göschenen - Regliberg - Salbithütte
From Göschenen train station (1106 m) an approach path leads past the large village church into the wooded slopes above the hamlet of Abfrutt and up to Regliberg (1680 m). Continue to climb through the forest till above the treeline, then bear westwards to reach the Salbit hut.
