Schilt is a very popular ski tour, and rightly so. If there is sufficient snow, the descent can be continued to Mollis down in the valley, which makes for a very positive descent-ascent ratio.
Route description
Summit station of the ski lift – Schilt
From the summit station of the Schilt ski lift (ca. 1600 m) ski down to Mittelstafel (1583 m). Now attach the skins to ascend south-eastward via Färiboden to P. 1997. Continue on the summer trail, pass P. 2063 to the west and traverse the north-western slope of Siwellen to reach the Schilt summit via P. 2243.
Descent

Descent to Mollis
If there is sufficient snow, you can ski down to Mollis. From the Naturfreundehaus Fronalp ski down the north-west slope of Lachen. On the hiking trail continue westward and then northward down through the forest. Pass P. 974 to reach Goldigen (898 m). Now follow the road westward for a short while and cut the hairpin bend at P. 802 through a clearing. Cross the road to ski down below the power line to reach P. 662. Now follow a hiking trail north-eastward via P. 548 to the edge of Mollis and to one of the bus stops.
