Easy to reach summit with far reaching views of the Tyrolean Silvretta area. A beautiful hike over moraine fields and flat glaciers. The flank is easy to walk but steep and just before the summit even interesting for the lover of exposure.

Route description
From the Silvretta hut follow a marked trail in the direction of Rote Furka until you reach P. 2553. Pass the beautiful glacier lake and alight the glacier.
Ascend the glacier to ca. 2800 m before bearing NE towards a scree slope west of P. 3076.
Ascend the scree/talus slope to the Egghornlücke (a saddle) before turning left onto the south ridge of the Silvrettahorn. Follow clear tracks, first a little bit eastwards, then back to the Swiss side up to the summit ridge 100 m south of the main summit. A gendarme just before the summit is climbed, offering easy climbing but in slightly exposed terrain.
Follow the route of ascent.
