Speer 1951 m Route archive

Speer is the highest peak of the range. For its wide view to the Swiss Alps and from Lake Constance to the Neuchâtel Jura it is sometimes compared to Rigi. On the summit there is a platform for hikers to enjoy the panorama. Speer is a geological particularity: it is the highest Nagelfluh summit (a type of conglomerate rock) of Europe.
