The first modern sport climbing crag above Gersau is well known and loved. It impresses with excellent, water-eroded rock and is often visited in the winter months. In addition to a "winter-safe" appraoch, the mild micro climate influenced by Lake Lucerne and the ideal south-east orientation are responsible for this. The fact that the rock in Gersau leaves nothing to be desired, has gotten around. That there is limited space on the Sunneplättli, is also a fact; however, there are enough alternatives in the vicinity if this proves to be too busy.
