Shortest approach to the Terrihütte. Varied, and steep in the second part, following the wild Rein da Sumvitg (stream). The approach can be shortened significantly with the bus to Teniger Bad (Runcahez).
Route description
Runcahez - Crest la Greina - Terrihütte
From Runcahez (1277 m) the approach continues along the eastern bank of Rein da Sumvitg and merges with the marked hut path beyond the bridge at 1408 m. Follow the west bank until shortly after the valley splits; at approx. 1650 m, cross onto the central landform and zigzag eastwards up this to join the Crest la Greina ridgeline. Follow the ridge southwards to its end, then, after a little more ascent contour round and slightly down eastward to the hut.
Variant: Approach from Rabius-Surrein - Runcahez
The route can be shortened to under 4 hours by taking the bus (www.busalpin.ch) or private car up to Runcahez.
From the Rabius-Surrein train station (927 m) you can reach the Runcahez reservoir (1277 m), partly on a road, partly on marked hiking trails, via Surrein (897 m) and the Tenigerbad (1305 m).
