Route description

Le Flon - Tête de Lantsenaire
From Le Flon (1046 m), above Miex, head west on the access road to Lac de Taney. Cross the pass of Col de Taney (1440 m) and descend to the lake. Cross the inlet to the hamlet of Taney, then veer off to the NW, ascend the open slope diagonally in the direction of Les Jumelles, and to find the access road leading through the forest to the summer pastures of Loz. Before reaching Loz (P. 1828), veer south and gain the lower, non-distinct E ridge of Tête de Lantsenaire. Leave the ridge before a steepening below P. 2080 (summer footpath junction), and ascend the depression up to the plateau of Chaux du Milieu. Cross the plateau towards the base of Cornettes de Bise's steep NW flank, then turn right (N) into a small valley. A final short, steep slope leads directly to the summit.
Descent
It is possible to stay on the right hand (S) side of the stream between Loz and Taney during the descent. Or for a longer round trip, you could also ascend to Les Cornettes de Bise and descend via Col de Chaudin.
