Zeneggen 900 m Alpine climbing
The Verschneidung sector at Zeneggen was one of the first climbing gardens in the Upper Valais; the three pitch route itself an ultra classic, which every Oberwalliser climber has probably climbed once! The newer Helbrig sector comprises 40 athletic and technically demanding routes with a wall height of up to 50 m and has firmly established itself as part the Upper Valais climbing landscape.
The Verschneidung sector was developed between 1980 and 1982 by Bruno Pfaffen, Patrick Z'Brun, Thomas Kämpfer and many others. The sector Helbrig was almost single-handedly opened by Bruno Pfaffen.
