Viewed from the south, Nägeliberg and Schären look like one mountain, whose mighty cliffs make an awesome, but uninviting impression. Viewed from the north, from Hinderselun, too, they are not attractive. The view from the summit makes Nägeliberg a rewarding target nevertheless. Two climbing routes from the late 1960s on the south pillar are rarely undertaken (VI-, 13 pitches and VII, 10 pitches respectively).
