Bettmerhorn is part of a long ridge between Laxeralp and Grosser Aletschgletscher. The eastern summit has a big metal cross, while the highest point is crowned by a simple cairn. Bettmerhorn offers a rewarding traverse on the ridge between the Bettmergrat station and Eggishorn.
