Hiking or climbing on routes in alpine terrain requires good physical health, meticulous preparation and technical skills in mountain sports. Schesaplana has a magnificent viewpoint and is the highest peak of Rätikon. These days the characteristic névé on the summit slope is snow-free in summer. The access trails from the Swiss side are all long and steep (blue-white markings).
