Pass Diesrut 2428 m Route archive

Pass Diesrut is a wide saddle between Piz Ner and Piz Stgir, which links Vrin and Plaun da Green and the SAC cabins Terri and Motterascio. The Plaun la Greina became the subject of public discussion in the 1980s due to the controversy discussion about a hydroelectric dam.

The name is composed of the two Romanic words "dies" and "rut". The first comes from the Latin dorsum "back", the second from ruptus "broken". The alp Diesrut is indeed "broken" by some gullies.
