Hiking or climbing on routes in alpine terrain requires good physical health, meticulous preparation and technical skills in mountain sports. Mittler Griessstock 2716 m Route archive

Die Griessstöcke bilden den westlichen Abschluss des Griesstals. Nach Westen und Norden fallen sie mit mehrere Hundert Meter hohen Wände ins Schächen- und Brunnital, nach Süden und Osten reicht eine sanft geneigte Felsarena bis zu den Gipfeln (oder zumindest deren Fuss). Das Mittler Griessstock ist der südwestliche der vier Gipfel.
