Punta di Elgio / Helgenhorn 2834 m Ski tour
Helgenhorn is on the ridge marking the Swiss/Italian border. The route across Passo San Giacomo is fairly long, but it allows getting to know the uppermost part of Val Formazza, called Val Toggia. The route to the summit with two names (Punta di Elgio is the Italian name) can be combined with the ascent to Rifugio Maria Luisa or Capanna Corno-Gries.
