Unter Gabelhorn 3392 m Alpinism
The Unter Gabelhorn stands at the end of the SE Ridge of the Ober Gabelhorn, near to the valley of Zmutt; impressing with its jagged silhouette. The N-flank of the mountain, which was once covered by the firn fields of the Gabelhorngletscher, is now very much exposed and prone to rockfall. The mountain can be considered as an individual objective, or can also be included in and ascent of the Ober Gabelhorn (see Ober Gabelhorn, SE-ridge / Gabelhorngrat).
