The north ridge of the Alphubel is more often used in descent, and as approach to the Mischabeljochbiwak. The Alphubel itself can be climbed via various routes, leading from Mittelallalin, Längflue and also Täschhütte.
Route description
Alphubel - North summit - Mischabeljochbiwak
From the main summit cross to the N summit of Alphubel (ca. 4188 m). Here you descend without difficulty, directly over the N-ridge to the bivouac (3847 m) in the Mischabeljoch.
