Shortest apprach to the Claridenhütte.
From the mountain station of the Fisetenbahn (cable car). A leisurely hike through lush alpine meadows full of wild flowers, then later a moonscape of barren scree. And in early summer, from time to time, there is a snow field still to cross.
Route description
Fisetengrat (cable car station) - Geissstein - Claridenhütte
Follow the marked path from the cable car station (about 2000 m) to Fisetenpass. Drop down and traverse the bowl, to pass left (eastwards) beneath the Rotstock before crossing the ridge at pt. 2037. Continue across the flank of Geissstein, round the Gletscherchopf and climb up to the hut.
Variante: From Sonne to Fisetenpass
The Fisetenpass can be reached from Urnerboden, bus stop "Sonne" (or Restaurant Ronne) via P. 1340 on a marked foot path in approx. 2 hours.
