Nice little initiation or training tour, good for a 'rest' day. The route from the Dix hut follows the E slope. The passage over a small glacier leads to the S-SE ridge, then directly to the summit.
Route description
Cabane des Dix - summit
From the Dix hut, head west, ascend the La Luette glacier in the direction of P. 3465. Bear SW near the top, to join the SE ridge between P. 3444 and P. 3465. Follow the easy SE ridge to the summit, often done on foot.
Descent
With good snow conditions it is possible to descend the E face directly from the summit.
