In the summer of 2016, the older "La Resgia" via ferrata got an extension, known as the"Languard" via ferrata, which leads ups to the top station of the Languard chairlift via a steep rock barrier, it is short, but packs a punch, and another good difficult tick at K5.

Route description

Languard Via Ferrata

Follow the footpath from the top of the Resgia Via Ferrata uphill towards Alp Languard, but turn off rightwards into a small valley (signposted) below the cliff band. Ascend over a grassy slope up to the start. Then it's down to business: short overhanging walls alternate with technical, airy traverses. The not-so-fit should take a good rest at a good spot before the wooden balance beam. A shaky three-rope bridge may strain the nerves, and the final overhang will finish your arms.

Additional information

Character: Short, but very demanding. Overhangs, alternating with lighter passages and grassy ledges, with a wooden beam to test your sense of balance, in addition to a rope bridge. Only for fit and strong climbers!
