Against the backdrop of Bächistock, Leuggelstock offers no breath-taking descents, but a quiet, pleasurable ski tour in alpine scenery. If there is sufficient snow, the "Bächlitalabfahrt" offers a descent with an additional 600 metres of vertical height down to Luchsingen. The summit is also popular among snowshoe hikers; they use the itinerary via the plain north of Oberblegisee.
Route description
Summit station of the Brunnenberg aerial cableway – Leugggelstock
From the summit station of the Brunnenberg aerial cableway (ca. 1100 m) go northward to Unterstafel (1287 m), then north-westward towards Oberblegisee to reach P. 1430. Now ascend north-eastward across the ridge to P. 1662. A short descent brings you to a breach (ca. 1625 m), and ascending north-eastward, you reach the summit.

Descent to Luchsingen
If there is sufficient snow, you can leave the described route at the upper Unterstafel (1287 m) to ski down southward to the lower Unterstafel (1120 m). Cross the Bösbächibach and descend via Herberig, Boden (1053 m) and Schlattberg (855 m) to Luchsingen. Along the route of this descent, called the «Bächitalabfahrt», the trees are cut regularly.
