Short and sweet alpine tour with a glacier crossing, finishing off with a short summit ridge.

Route description
From the Medel hut, head southwest around the rocky foot of Fil Liung. Tracks lead up around the rocks to the Gletscher da Plattas. Depending on the condition of the glacier you can either stay close to the Fil Liung and gain the glacier plateau via a rather steep ice slope, or you can strike out west onto the glacier flank and ascend from there.
Cross the fairly flat glacier plateau, slowly arcing round to join the not-so-pronounced east ridge of Piz Medel. Climb easily over snow and rock to the highest point.
Follow the route of ascent.
