This is an easy, sunny ski tour in an open, picturesque pasture terrain. The tour can be prolonged by ascending to Schneitgrat, Birehubel or Wannehörli. Alternatively, the tour can be started at the Rellerli summit station.
Route description
Saanenmöser - Planihubel
From the Saanenmöser railway station walk up to the main street and take the small road branching off south-westward to reach P. 1350. Cross the bridge to Bergmatte and in clearings ascend north-westward via Unders Plani (1624 m) to Aherlisbode (1807 m) on the ridge. Ascend northward to reach Planihubel.
Descent to Saanenmöser in the Simne valley
Ski down the east face to a cabin (1666 m). Continue to Vorderi Bergsimne. Follow the alp access road through the Simne valley to reach Bergmatte. Ski down directly past a farm house to reach the bridge at the bifurcation. Negotiate a short re-ascent on a private road, then turn left to the water reservoir and ski down below holiday homes to the Saanenmöser railway station.
Variant from Rellerligrat
From the summit station follow the ski runs on Hugeligrat and ski down to Aherlisbode (P. 1810), where you meet the route from Saanenmöser.
