Baltschiederklause SAC 2783 m
Classic SAC cabin in the rearmost area of the wild and romantic Baltschiedertal, in the south-western part of the Unesco World Heritage Site Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. It is the starting point for high mountain and climbing tours ranging from easy to very difficult. The best known summit is Bietschorn, which can be ascended on various itineraries. The access trail along the water transportation channels called “Suonen” features flower-rich mountain pastures and the glacier foreland and is a nature and mountain experience in its own right.
