From Weglosen the ascent to Biet is easy and multifaceted. After taking the small road to Druesberghütte, one ascends in a number of different terrain types before reaching the summit with a surprisingly wide-ranging view. Biet can easily be combined with other easy targets of the region, such as Pfannenstöckli or Rütistein.
Route description
Weglosen – Biet
From the Weglosen bus stop (1036 m) take the alp access road southward to reach the bridge across the Waag (1054 m) and go ca. 300 m on the Weglosen ski run (caution, oncoming skiers!) to a small stable. Ascend southward to reach P. 1209 on the winter hiking trail and sledging run, which is usually groomed by the warden of Druesberghütte. On this trail ascend through Chäserenwald to reach Gruebi (1420 m). Now leave the trail and ascend north-eastward along the forest edge to reach Sattlerhütte. Continue in the same direction to the breach between Schülberg and Fidisberg (ca. 1770 m). Along Fidisberg ascend to the Hinter Wannenhöchi (1833 m) col. Ascending north-eastward on the summit slope you reach the summit.
