Described here is the busy normal route. Despite the moderate difficulty we'd like to point out two problems: in flat light/foggy condition, orientation (especially in descent) can be difficult; the crevasse labyrinth, especially on the N-half of the flank, should not be underestimated.

Route description
From the Cabane des Vignettes (3160 m), travel east to the Col des Vignettes, then traverse the base of the steep firn slope, beneath a large serac. Approx. 200 m northwest of P. 3160 one climbs a ridge over a ledge of rocks and scree. This ridge is climbed keeping to the right (NW). (The old route directly next to the serac is only possible under optimal conditions). During descent, this passage is difficult to find in poor visibility. Soon you reach flatter terrain and return to the glacier. After another steeper passage, head westwards towards a plateau (about 3500 m) and then climb NW to gain the firn saddle between the two peaks. From this saddle a firn slope lead easily up to the N-summit (3790 m).
Same as the route of ascent.
