Route description
Gasthaus Zervreila - Chapel Parking
From Gasthaus Zervreila (bus stop) follow the road to parking by a small chapel. T1.
Chapel Parking - Start of the Furggelti pass footpath.
Continue along the road and cross the Canalbrücke (bridge), turn right along the shoreline to the start of the footpath to Furggelti. 10 minutes by bike, 35 minutes on foot from Chäppeli. T1.
Turn off for the Furggelti pass - P. 2287
Follow this mountain path until you cross the Hornbach. Shortly before P. 2287, leave the main and head right. T2.
P. 2287 - Large Cairn
Climb up on tracks beneath an impressive overhanging wall until you reach a large cairn. T3 +.
Large Cairn - Start of the Zervreilahorn NE Ridge
From here move up and right to an area of boulders at the foot of the North East Ridge, 1:30 hrs from the lake. Unless climbing the direct start, move left along the cliff base and into a steep sandy gully (short climbing section) which brings you to a ledge. From this ledge you can access routes of the south east face. For the NE-ridge, move back right along the ledge (exposed). T5 +.

Possible to cycle a fair bit of the way. Just remember the 140 m height gain on the way back.

The steep approach to the start of the route requires sturdy footwear and is rated T5. Modern approach shoes are the best choice. After abseiling you come to a steep grass slope where good shoes will also be an advantage.
